Inquiry-driven teaching and learning: A general rubric
PUBLISHED:Resource Summary
Drawing from classroom observations carried out as part of the Creando Comunidades de Indagación initiative, this general rubric sketches out a continuum of practice across nine different dimensions of inquiry-driven teaching and learning. It has been piloted within Innova Schools both as a reflection and an observation tool. Educators can use it to consider their current practice and how, if at all, they might challenge themselves to incorporate more inquiry-driven pedagogy into it; administrators can use it as a general tool to take the pulse of what is happening pedagogically within their school or network. It is not designed, however, to formally assess teachers.
