PZ Doctoral Fellows
The PZ Doctoral Fellows program, launching in September 2023, is a year-long funded opportunity for three to four advanced doctoral students who are committed to doing research that addresses issues of social justice and equity and involves historically marginalized or underserved communities. Fellows engage in and contribute to PZ’s intellectual community, while advancing their independent doctoral work. They participate in PZ community meetings and discussion groups, present their work, make connections to PZ researchers and projects, and attend at least two conferences or workshops. Fellows receive regular mentorship and feedback through biweekly cohort sessions held at PZ. The program is generously funded by the Saul Zaentz Charitable Foundation, with additional support from the Firehouse Fund. The goal is to support talented, emerging scholars, while enriching and adding more critical dimensions to PZ’s ongoing research and professional development agenda.
The application process for the 2024-2025 PZ Doctoral Fellows program is open to Harvard Graduate School of Education and other Harvard University doctoral students. Applications open on February 1, 2024, and are due Friday, March 22, 2024. Decisions will be announced by April 15, 2024. For questions, please contact Liz Dawes Duraisingh, Co-Director, Project Zero.
