Read MoreSarah Alvord is the Senior Manager of Special Projects. She is responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of a portfolio of initiatives that build upon current research projects, expand PZ’s reach and impact with practitioners, both domestically and internationally, and strengthen engagement with current HGSE students and alumni. Prior to joining Project Zero, she served as the Program Manager for Pathways to Prosperity, an initiative focused on building systems of career pathways linking high school, work, and community college, and as the Administrative Director of the Executive Leadership Program for Educators (ExEL), an initiative supporting senior leaders in large urban districts and state departments of education to improve their leadership capacity to strengthen teaching and learning throughout their systems. She spent her first five years at the university at the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations working on domestic and international projects and the doctoral fellowship program. She began her career as an instructional assistant in a rural high school special education department and has since worked in mental health, philanthropy, and higher education.
